Georgina Fleming, Consultant 

Georgina is an emerging market development professional. She previously worked at Scipion Capital, an investment manager in London and Geneva specialised in commodity trade finance across Africa, where she headed the Product Management & Development department to raise assets for the fund and source/evaluate trades. She has also been commissioned by the U.K. Government (DfID) to found Eza Grains, a soybean trading company in Rwanda to service 4 million farmers. Georgina began her career at Cleary Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton LLP representing leading investment banks, insurance companies, and governments, and she is the volunteer-CEO of ZOF Africa, an NGO that supports education in Zimbabwe.

Georgina holds an MBA from the University of Oxford and graduated with honours from Boston University.

Dilip Kothari, Advisor

Mr. Kothari launched and raised a $640 million private equity fund, L Capital Asia, sponsored by the LVMH Group. As a Managing Partner of the Fund, he served on the Board of Directors as well as a key Member of the Investment Committee.


Prior to that, Mr. Kothari was the Founder and Managing Director of JM Financial India Fund (joint venture partners of Morgan Stanley) which was a US$225 million sector agnostic private equity fund in India.


From 1998-2005, he was a Partner and Managing Director at Olympus Capital Holdings Asia, a large Pan Asian private equity fund, and from 1992-1998, he was the CEO of HSBC Consumer Bank based in Singapore overseeing $10 billion in Assets.


Mr. Kothari has raised over $1.3 billion from family offices, fund of funds and institutional investors globally. He has invested over $700 million across the Asia Pacific region with a realized IRR of 53% and 3.5x cash multiple on a blended basis.


He is a Singapore citizen and has also worked in the United States, Korea, India, and Hong Kong.

Mr. Morrison is a leader in conservation finance and since 2008 has helped to establish three conservation trust funds. He is acting as interim Executive Director of the Blue Action Fund and sits on the Board of the Caucasus Nature Fund and the Prespa Ohrid Nature Trust.

Prior to his work in nature conservation, Mr. Morrison worked for 28 years at Sullivan & Cromwell LLP, where he served as co-managing partner of the firm’s Continental European offices. His practice focused on advising public companies in a transactional context, from capital raisings and IPOs to mergers and acquisitions. Mr. Morrison has been recognized as a leading lawyer in Germany and France.

Mr. Morrison serves on the Board of Directors of two UK listed companies in the Republic of Georgia: BGEO Group, the holding company for the country’s largest bank; and Georgia Health Care Group, the largest operator of hospitals and clinics in the country.

Mr Morrison received his undergraduate degree from Yale College, his law degree from UCLA, and was a Fulbright scholar at the University of Frankfurt am Main.

David Morrison, Advisor

Ms Drummond Haley has more than 30 years professional experience, with a focus on sub-Saharan Africa, where she has mostly lived and worked, in a range of assignments aimed at promoting the role of the private sector in the context of development. This has included due diligence and investment monitoring for large scale investments (with the Commonwealth Development Corporation); undertaking consulting assignments to promote a conducive environment for investment and business competitiveness (with Nathan Associates in Washington DC, ICC in Zimbabwe and AGMMARK in Zambia); developing a strategic vision for the Africa programme and overseeing the operations of a social enterprise developing and promoting small-scale on farm irrigation and WASH services (iDE) and most recently being the strategy and corporate governance advisor for the Kenya Market Trust based in Nairobi.


Her sector expertise includes agriculture/agri-business, finance, productive water and WASH, BoP service provision, and conservation/tourism. In addition, she has deep Board/Governance experience as Board member, Board Coach and Corporate Governance trainer and has also completed two parts of the UK Institute of Directors professional training in Corporate Governance.

Ms Drummond Haley has an M.Sc. in Development Studies from the University of Bath, and graduated with honors from King’s College London/LSE.

Sue Drummond Haley, Advisor
